Role Description The Senior Manager role at SUN POWER TECHNOLOGIES is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Senior Manager will oversee MEP and ELV projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution are aligned with client requirements and company standards. Daily responsibilities include supervising project teams, coordinating with clients, consultants, and vendors, reviewing technical designs and proposals, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines. The role also involves monitoring budgets and timelines, managing risks, preparing progress reports, and implementing process improvements for efficient project delivery. The Senior Manager will provide leadership, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members to maintain a high standard of workmanship and service.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in MEP and ELV systems, including electrical works, fire protection, CCTV, access control, and building management systems.
Demonstrated project management skills in planning, scheduling, resource management, risk assessment, and cost control for commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
Proficiency in coordinating with stakeholders such as builders, developers, consultants, facility managers, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements, with attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and resolve operational issues.
Effective communication and negotiation skills, including report writing, client presentations, and decision-making under pressure.
Relevant academic qualifications such as a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; project management certifications are an advantage.
Experience working in contracting or construction environments, preferably in MEP and ELV projects, and familiarity with local regulations in Chennai and India.
