Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fundraiser role based in the Pune Division. The Fundraiser will plan, develop, and implement fundraising strategies to support Shikshangram’s programs and long-term sustainability. Daily responsibilities include identifying and researching potential donors, partners, and grant opportunities; preparing proposals, grant applications, and reports; and maintaining accurate records of donor communications and contributions. The role involves organizing fundraising events and campaigns, coordinating with internal teams to gather impact stories and data, and creating compelling outreach materials to engage individual donors, corporates, and foundations. The Fundraiser will also nurture relationships with existing supporters, provide regular updates on program outcomes, and represent the organization at meetings, events, and community gatherings.
Qualifications
Strong fundraising and donor relationship skills, including experience with individual, corporate, and institutional giving.
Proficiency in proposal and grant writing, with the ability to create clear, persuasive narratives and impact reports.
Experience in organizing events and campaigns, including planning, budgeting, coordination, and post-event evaluation.
Solid research and analytical skills to identify funding opportunities and assess donor alignment with organizational goals.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders in person and in writing.
Basic digital skills, including familiarity with email marketing tools, social media, and donor databases or CRM systems.
Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, education, or social impact sectors; experience with NGOs or nonprofits is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work collaboratively with program teams, maintain confidentiality, and uphold ethical fundraising practices.
Comfort working on-site in Pune Division, with flexibility to attend events and meetings
