Company Description Self-employed video technicians provide specialized technical support and production services to a variety of clients, including businesses, event organizers, and individual content creators. Working independently allows for flexibility in project selection, schedule, and creative approach. Assignments may range from live events and conferences to recorded content, training materials, and promotional videos. Collaboration with clients often involves understanding their goals, advising on technical setups, and delivering reliable, high-quality video solutions. This role offers opportunities to build a diverse portfolio and long-term client relationships.
Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role based in Pune City, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Video Technician will set up, operate, and maintain video equipment for live events, meetings, and recorded productions, including cameras, lighting, audio interfaces, and projectors. Daily tasks include configuring video conferencing systems, monitoring video and audio quality during sessions, and troubleshooting technical issues in real time. The role involves coordinating with clients and team members to plan technical requirements, testing equipment before events, and ensuring proper breakdown and storage afterward. The technician will also perform routine maintenance, keep inventory of equipment, and recommend upgrades or improvements to enhance overall video production quality.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Video Production and Video Conferencing, with experience setting up and operating related hardware and software.
Proficiency in Lighting and Projectors for events, presentations, and studio or on-location shoots.
Effective Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues with video, audio, and connectivity.
Familiarity with common video conferencing platforms and basic audio-visual signal flow.
Ability to lift, transport, and safely handle video and AV equipment as required for on-site work.
Good communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for scheduling, equipment inventory, and documentation.
Previous experience in event technology, AV support, or video production is preferred.
Relevant technical certification or coursework in video production, AV technology, or a related field is an advantage.
