Role Description The Project Lead/Senior Tekla Modeler is a full-time, on-site position based in Mysore. This role is responsible for leading Tekla modeling activities for structural steel projects, including creating and reviewing 3D models, connection details, and fabrication drawings. The person in this role coordinates with engineers, detailers, and clients to clarify design requirements, resolve technical issues, and ensure models meet project specifications, codes, and standards. Day-to-day tasks include planning workloads, assigning tasks to junior modelers, conducting quality checks, and monitoring project progress against deadlines. The role also involves supporting project documentation, participating in design review meetings, and contributing to process improvements and best practices within the detailing team.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for structural steel modeling, detailing, and drawing production.
Experience leading or supervising detailing/modeling teams, including task allocation, mentoring, and quality control.
Solid understanding of structural steel fabrication, erection practices, and relevant industry codes and standards.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents with high attention to detail.
Effective communication and coordination skills for working with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
Proven experience managing project timelines, priorities, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum of several years of experience in Tekla modeling or steel detailing; prior experience as a senior modeler or project lead is preferred.
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline is advantageous.
