Role Description This is a full-time, on-site STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) Operator role based in Lucknow. The STP Operator will monitor and operate plant equipment, including pumps, blowers, valves, and control panels to ensure efficient wastewater treatment. Responsibilities include checking and recording operational parameters, performing routine inspections, and coordinating basic maintenance and cleaning of tanks, filters, and related infrastructure. The role involves sampling and testing water quality, maintaining logs and reports, and supporting compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. The operator will also assist in troubleshooting plant issues, escalate technical problems as needed, and cooperate with supervisors and other facility staff to ensure continuous and safe plant operation.
Qualifications
Ability to operate and monitor STP equipment, including pumps, motors, aeration systems, and control panels.
Knowledge of basic wastewater treatment processes, chemical dosing, and water quality parameters (pH, TSS, COD, BOD, etc.).
Experience maintaining operational records, logs, and daily reports, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Understanding of safety procedures, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to environmental regulations.
Basic mechanical and electrical awareness to support routine inspection and minor adjustments or troubleshooting.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures, respond to alarms, and escalate technical issues promptly.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, technicians, and facility staff.
Minimum high school diploma; ITI/ Diploma in a relevant trade (e.g., mechanical, electrical, environmental, or civil) preferred.
Prior experience in STP, ETP, or water treatment operations in a facility management or industrial environment is an advantage.
