Role Description The Structural Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Kottarakara, responsible for overseeing daily structural construction activities and coordinating site crews. The role includes planning work sequences, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to ensure structures are built according to drawings, specifications, and safety standards. The Structural Foreman supervises carpentry and structural works, oversees the use of heavy equipment, and ensures proper maintenance of tools and machinery. Daily tasks also include conducting site inspections, resolving technical and operational issues, maintaining clear communication with project engineers and workers, and keeping accurate records of work completed and materials used. The role requires enforcing safety procedures, promoting a safe work culture, and supporting training and guidance for site personnel.
Qualifications
Strong supervisory skills, including coordinating crews, delegating tasks, and monitoring performance.
Experience working with and directing the use of heavy equipment in structural and construction environments.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with engineers, workers, and stakeholders on-site.
Hands-on experience in carpentry and structural construction techniques.
Ability to oversee maintenance of tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure reliability and safety.
Sound understanding of construction drawings, structural specifications, and building codes.
Commitment to safety practices and familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
Previous experience as a foreman or lead in structural or civil construction projects.
Relevant technical qualification or vocational training in civil/structural construction is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Kottarakara, with flexibility to manage project timelines and site conditions.
