Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Automic Workload Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise scheduling and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Automic (formerly UC4) and a strong understanding of batch processing, job scheduling, and enterprise IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain workflows using Automic Workload Automation (AWA).
Monitor daily batch job execution and ensure timely completion of critical processes.
Troubleshoot job failures, performance issues, and system errors.
Create and maintain job documentation, workflows, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and business teams to automate processes.
Implement scheduling best practices and optimize job performance.
Manage Automic agents, clients, and environments (DEV, TEST, PROD).
Handle incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
Support upgrades, patches, and system enhancements of the Automic platform.
Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
7+ years of hands-on experience with Automic Workload Automation (UC4).
Strong knowledge of job scheduling, batch processing, and workflow automation.
Experience with scripting (Shell, PowerShell, or Python).
Good understanding of Linux/Unix and/or Windows environments.
Familiarity with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Experience with incident and change management processes (e.g., ITIL).
Preferred Skills:
Experience integrating Automic with other enterprise tools (SAP, Informatica, etc.).
Knowledge of REST APIs and automation frameworks.
Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Automic certification is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 production support environment.
Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
