Quality Control Assistant

Company Description Raaha Garments is a Tiruppur-based apparel export house with over four decades of experience delivering high-quality knitwear and woven garments to leading global brands. Evolving from a family-led venture into a structured manufacturing operation, the company manages all core garmenting processes in-house through 600+ machines covering auto-cutting, stitching, embroidery, finishing, quality control, and washing labs.
Role Description The Junior Merchandiser will support the end-to-end merchandising process, including coordinating with buyers, understanding product requirements, and assisting in sampling and order execution. Day-to-day responsibilities include tracking orders and timelines, liaising with production, quality, and logistics teams, preparing basic costings and documentation, and ensuring that buyer specifications are accurately communicated and followed. The role involves maintaining clear records, updating status reports, handling routine correspondence with customers, and supporting senior merchandisers in managing styles, approvals, and shipment plans. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruppur, requiring regular interaction with factory operations and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for interacting with buyers, internal teams, and external partners.
Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to manage buyer queries, maintain relationships, and support positive client experiences.
Candidates should possess Sales and Retail awareness to understand product positioning, market expectations, and merchandising needs.
Candidates should possess basic Marketing understanding to support brand-aligned presentations, product assortments, and visual communication.
Candidates should have good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up.
Candidates should be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, email) and comfortable with data entry and reporting.
A diploma or degree in Fashion, Textiles, Merchandising, Business, or a related field is preferred; prior internship or junior experience in apparel merchandising is an advantage.
Candidates should be willing to work on-site in Tiruppur, collaborate with factory teams, and learn production processes and compliance standards.
