About the Opportunity
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant to lead the accounting function of a BSE-listed company with diversified business operations across chemical, mineral, ore and metal trading, real estate development, and financial services.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Ind AS, taxation, statutory compliance, audit, Companies Act, and SEBI/listing regulations, along with the ability to manage accounting operations across multiple business verticals.
Experience with a listed company will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
📑 Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Ind AS.
Prepare consolidated financial statements for group companies.
Ensure timely statutory filings and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors.
Ensure compliance with BSE listing requirements and SEBI regulations.
Provide accurate financial information, business analytics, and management reports.
💰 Taxation
Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS, and other applicable tax regulations.
Coordinate tax audits, assessments, and related proceedings.
Support tax planning and optimization within the legal framework.
Liaise with external tax consultants and advisors on complex matters.
📊 Accounting Operations
Supervise day-to-day accounting activities across multiple business verticals.
Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and financial reporting.
Oversee inventory accounting for trading operations.
Handle accounting for real estate projects, including revenue recognition and cost allocation.
Manage accounting requirements for financial services, including interest calculations and regulatory provisions.
Establish and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies.
👥 Team Leadership
Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of 4–5 accounting professionals.
Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
Develop team capabilities through training and knowledge sharing.
Establish performance standards and promote accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.
📈 Strategic Support
Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management.
Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning.
Assist management in evaluating new business opportunities and investments.
Participate in management/board meetings and present financial information when required.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.
Minimum 2–3 years of post-qualification experience.
Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
Excellent knowledge of direct and indirect taxation.
Strong understanding of the Companies Act, 2013.
Knowledge of SEBI regulations and BSE listing compliance.
Experience in financial reporting and statutory audit coordination.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
Experience with accounting/ERP systems such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
Preferred
Experience working with a listed company.
Exposure to commodity/multi-product trading, real estate, or financial services.
Experience with ERP implementation or process improvement.
Knowledge of financial modelling, due diligence, and sensitivity analysis.
