Role Description The Mechanical Engineer (SPM) will design, develop, and implement special purpose machines and automated systems for industrial applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating mechanical designs, preparing detailed CAD models and drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting fabrication, assembly, and commissioning of equipment. The role also involves participating in R&D activities, optimizing existing systems, resolving technical issues on the shop floor, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kochi, requiring regular coordination with production, electrical, and controls teams.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core engineering principles to machine and automation design.
Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for developing detailed models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
Experience in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, coordinating with stakeholders, and meeting project timelines and budgets.
Exposure to Research and Development (R&D) activities, including concept development, prototyping, testing, and continuous improvement of SPM solutions.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Ability to work on-site in Kochi, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
Knowledge of industrial automation, manufacturing processes, and relevant safety standards is an advantage.
Practical hands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems is preferred.
