About Position:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect with strong expertise in Azure data and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing scalable cloud-native data architectures while enabling enterprise data, analytics, and reporting capabilities.

What You'll Do:
Design end-to-end Azure data architectures using services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, SQL Managed Instance, Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake.
Implement data integration, migration, and transformation solutions using ETL/ELT methodologies.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and Data Hub/Digital & AI teams to define data strategies and technical roadmaps
Guide and mentor data engineers, analysts, and data scientists on architectural best practices.
Work with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Azure Bicep) for automated deployments.
Ensure compliance with security and governance requirements, including GDPR, HIPAA, UK data residency regulations, Key Vault, RBAC, and Private Endpoints.
Establish and maintain data governance frameworks covering data quality, lineage, cataloguing, and compliance.
Monitor and optimise data platforms for performance, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
Lead migration initiatives from legacy platforms to Azure cloud environments.
Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI/ML and advanced analytics to drive innovation.
Create architecture documents including HLDs, Technical Architecture Documents, Network Flow Diagrams, Environment Details, and Secret Inventory documentation.
Expertise You'll Bring:
Strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics.
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Extensive experience with Azure Databricks.
Strong knowledge of Azure SQL Database and Cosmos DB.
Experience with Azure Blob Storage and Azure Data Lake.
Expertise in Azure Key Vault, Azure Relay, and Data Gateway.
Knowledge of Azure IaaS services.
Experience with Application Gateway and Azure Load Balancer.
Familiarity with Azure Web Apps, Function Apps, Logic Apps, and Service Bus.
Knowledge of Azure Machine Learning services.
Strong proficiency in SQL and database development.
Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
Strong understanding of data modeling using star and snowflake schemas.
Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
Hands-on experience with Azure Monitor and operational monitoring frameworks.
Experience with Power BI and enterprise analytics solutions.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture patterns.
Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong strategic problem-solving abilities.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
Ability to provide architectural leadership and drive enterprise data transformation initiatives.
