Project Manager Scrum Master

The Scrum Master facilitates Agile delivery, removes obstacles, and helps cross-functional teams deliver high-quality work predictably. This person acts as a servant leader, process coach, and bridge between team members, product owners, leadership, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
* Partner with the Product Owner to maintain a clear, prioritized, and delivery-ready product backlog.
* Help the team define realistic sprint goals and commitments.
* Track sprint progress using velocity, burndown charts, cycle time, and other relevant metrics.
* Identify and remove blockers affecting delivery.
* Protect the team from unnecessary interruptions and uncontrolled scope changes.
* Promote Scrum principles, Agile practices, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Coordinate dependencies across development, testing, infrastructure, business, and vendor teams.
* Ensure user stories have clear requirements, acceptance criteria, estimates, and ownership.
* Monitor project risks and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
* Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
* Support release planning, testing readiness, production deployment, and post-release reviews.
* Coach team members on self-organization, estimation, prioritization, and problem-solving.
* Maintain delivery dashboards, sprint reports, action items, and decision logs.
* Create transparency around delays, capacity constraints, and delivery risks.
* Ensure retrospective action items result in measurable improvements.
* Promote sustainable delivery without compromising quality, security, or compliance.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, project management, or a related field.
* 3–5 years of experience in Agile project delivery, including at least 2 years as a Scrum Master.
* Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Agile principles, and the software development lifecycle.
* Experience working with developers, business analysts, QA teams, product owners, and business stakeholders.
* Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday.com, or similar work-management platforms.
* Strong facilitation, conflict-resolution, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional dependencies.
* Experience interpreting delivery metrics and presenting concise updates to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
* Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification.
* Experience with ERP, CRM, cloud platforms, integrations, automation, or digital-transformation projects.
* Familiarity with NetSuite, Microsoft 365, AWS, HubSpot, or enterprise applications.
* Experience coordinating internal teams, contractors, and external implementation partners.
* Understanding of DevOps, release management, change management, and quality-assurance practices.
Performance Measures
Success in this role will be measured through:
* Percentage of sprint commitments completed
* Blockers resolved within the agreed timeframe
* Reduction in work carried over between sprints
* Improved delivery predictability and cycle time
* Quality and timeliness of stakeholder updates
* Reduction in production defects and rework
* Completion of retrospective improvement actions
* Team engagement, ownership, and collaboration
Reporting Relationship
The Scrum Master typically reports to the Head of Technology, PMO Leader, Delivery Manager, or CIO and works closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, business leaders, and implementation partners.
