Job Requirements
Role/ Job Title: Data Analyst – Data Governance (Data & Analytics)
Job Purpose:
Looking for a highly motivated and analytical Data Analyst to join the Data Governance team within the Data & Analytics function. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving data quality, metadata management, data reconciliation, governance reporting, and analytical initiatives across enterprise data platforms.
This role requires strong technical expertise in Python, PySpark, AWS, and SQL, coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with business, technology, and data teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain data quality, reconciliation, and governance analytics solutions.
Perform data profiling, data validation, and root cause analysis across multiple source systems.
Build scalable data processing frameworks using Python and PySpark.
Work with large-scale datasets on AWS cloud platforms.
Develop complex SQL queries for analysis, reporting, and data validation.
Support enterprise data governance initiatives, including:
Data Catalog
Business Glossary
Metadata Management
Data Lineage
Critical Data Elements (CDEs)
Data Quality Monitoring
Analyze data issues and collaborate with business and technology teams to drive resolution.
Create dashboards, reports, and governance MIS for senior management.
Participate in data governance projects involving regulatory, risk, finance, and customer domains.
Document business requirements, data mappings, and governance standards.
Present analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in Python.
Hands-on experience with PySpark for big data processing.
Strong expertise in SQL (query optimization, joins, aggregations, analytical functions).
Experience working on AWS services such as:
S3
Glue
Athena
EMR
Lambda (preferred)
Experience with data analysis, data profiling, and data quality assessment.
Understanding of ETL/Data Pipeline concepts.
Knowledge of data warehousing and analytical data models.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to Data Governance and Metadata Management tools.
Experience with Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of Banking, Financial Services, or Risk Data domains.
Understanding of Data Quality, BCBS 239, Data Privacy, or Regulatory Reporting frameworks..

Educational Qualification
B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
Candidates with a strong academic record and relevant experience will be preferred.
Experience
2 to 5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Governance, or Data Management roles.
Experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or Consulting organizations will be an added advantage
