Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor located in Chengam. The supervisor will lead a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians, oversee daily production activities, and ensure that manufacturing processes meet quality, safety, and efficiency targets. Responsibilities include reviewing and optimizing process flows, coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves planning and monitoring projects related to new product introduction, equipment upgrades, and process changes, while maintaining documentation and compliance with relevant standards. The supervisor will also train team members, monitor performance, and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing challenges.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing Operations to oversee production lines and drive efficiency.
Candidates should possess experience in Process Engineering and Manufacturing to design, optimize, and standardize processes.
Candidates should possess solid Project Management skills to plan, execute, and monitor manufacturing projects on time and within budget.
Relevant skills such as problem-solving, data analysis, and familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in a supervisory or lead manufacturing engineering role within a factory or industrial setting.
Ability to work on-site in Chengam, collaborate with diverse teams, and communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
<li knowledge of safety standards, quality systems (e.g., iso), and basic proficiency with cad cam or production planning tools is beneficial.< li>
