Role Overview
XYMA is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Technical Engineer who will support the engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial measurement and sensing systems. The role involves hands-on technical work with mechanical/electrical systems, instrumentation, and troubleshooting activities in an R&D and industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in the assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning of sensing, measurement, and instrumentation systems.
· Perform mechanical and electrical integration, wiring, cabling, and basic equipment setup as per engineering drawings and specifications.
· Conduct testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance of equipment and identify technical issues during field or laboratory operations.
· Support engineers during R&D trials, prototype development, field deployments, and customer-site technical activities, while maintaining proper technical documentation.
Required Skills
· Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, sensors, instrumentation, and measurement systems.
· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions.
· Good hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with willingness to work in laboratory, industrial, and field environments.
Qualification
· Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics and Instrumentation or a related technical discipline.
Freshers and candidates with basic practical or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
Compensation
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly stipend of ₹18,000 to ₹20,000, based on the candidate’s qualifications and suitability for the role.
Location: The internship will be based at our office in Perungudi, Chennai.
Added Advantage
· Prior internship or hands-on experience in industrial equipment, instrumentation, sensors, or electrical/mechanical systems.
· Basic knowledge of PLCs, control systems, data acquisition systems, or industrial communication protocols.
· Experience with testing, calibration, soldering, wiring, or equipment assembly.
· Familiarity with tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, or other electrical/mechanical testing equipment.
· Willingness to travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
· Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
