Role Description
The Accountant role at TheKalakriti is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. We are looking for an experienced accounting professional with 6–7 years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of Indian taxation and statutory compliance.
The Accountant will manage the company’s day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, cash-flow monitoring, inventory accounting, and general ledger entries.
A key responsibility of this position will be managing GST compliance, including GST registration-related documentation, invoice reconciliation, Input Tax Credit reconciliation, and the accurate and timely filing of GST returns such as GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns. The candidate should also have practical knowledge of TDS, e-invoicing, e-way bills, income-tax-related documentation, and other applicable statutory requirements in India.
The role will assist with monthly and annual financial closing, preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. The Accountant will maintain accurate financial records, strengthen internal controls, support statutory and internal audits, and coordinate with Chartered Accountants, auditors, banks, vendors, and government authorities when required.
The Accountant will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and contribute to process improvements that enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
6–7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
Strong core accounting skills, including bookkeeping, general ledger management, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
Hands-on experience with GST compliance and return filing, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Input Tax Credit reconciliation, and annual GST returns.
Working knowledge of TDS calculations and returns, e-invoicing, e-way bills, income-tax documentation, and statutory reporting requirements in India.
Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor reconciliation, bank reconciliation, cash flow, and expense records.
Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, or similar accounting software.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reconciliation, MIS reporting, and data management.
Understanding of Indian Accounting Standards, applicable tax laws, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Strong attention to detail, numerical aptitude, and the ability to maintain complete and accurate financial records.
Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, auditors, Chartered Accountants, and other external partners.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities, meet statutory deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic business environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
Professional qualifications such as CA Inter, CMA Inter, or an equivalent certification will be an advantage.
