Techno-Commercial Manager

About the role
Devalko is looking for a hands-on Project & Factory Operations Manager to manage modular kitchen, wardrobe, door, and interior-manufacturing projects from initial site measurement and client discussion through factory production, installation, quality checks, snag closure, and final handover.
This role is ideal for someone who understands both factory manufacturing and on-site execution. The selected candidate will be the key link between clients, architects/designers, sales, factory teams, procurement, installers, and management.
Key responsibilities
Visit sites for initial measurements, technical discussions, and assessment of site conditions before production.
Coordinate with clients, architects, designers, and the internal sales/design team to obtain approvals for drawings, materials, finishes, hardware, scope, and timelines.
Support preparation and checking of quotations, BOQs, material quantities, hardware requirements, and execution-related costing.
Ensure all approved drawings, dimensions, finishes, accessories, and client requirements are correctly communicated to the factory before production starts.
Plan and monitor production of modular kitchens, wardrobes, doors, furniture, panels, shutters, and related interior products.
Coordinate with factory carpenters, machine operators, assemblers, polish/paint teams, packing staff, and supervisors to meet project timelines.
Follow up with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely availability of boards, laminates, veneers, acrylics, hardware, glass, aluminium, accessories, and other required materials.
Conduct or supervise factory quality checks for dimensions, edge banding, drilling, hardware positions, shutter alignment, finishes, accessories, packing, and overall workmanship.
Ensure finished materials match approved drawings and client specifications before dispatch.
Prepare project-wise dispatch plans, packing lists, material segregation, hardware lists, and installation requirements.
Coordinate transport, unloading, site readiness, installer allocation, and installation schedules.
Supervise site execution and ensure installation quality, alignment, functionality, finishing, and cleanliness.
Coordinate with civil teams, electricians, plumbers, false-ceiling teams, architects, and clients when site dependencies affect installation.
Prepare snag lists, coordinate rectification work, close pending items, and ensure timely final handover to the client.
Maintain project trackers for approvals, production, material status, dispatch, site progress, snags, and handover.
Share regular updates with management regarding project progress, factory loading, risks, delays, pending approvals, and actions required.
Improve coordination between sales, design, procurement, production, quality, dispatch, and site teams.

Projects move smoothly from client approval to production, dispatch, installation, and handover.
Site measurements and production information are accurate, reducing rework and material wastage.
Factory output meets committed project timelines and quality standards.
Materials, hardware, and accessories reach the site complete and correctly packed.
Installation teams receive clear drawings, instructions, and material details before starting work.
Snags, client complaints, and last-minute site issues are reduced and resolved promptly.
Clients receive timely, professional communication and high-quality final handover.
Management has clear visibility of every live project through regular updates and trackers.
Required qualifications
4–8 years of experience in modular kitchens, wardrobes, factory-made furniture, interior fit-outs, carpentry, or project execution.
Proven experience managing both factory production and site installation is preferred.
Good knowledge of boards, laminates, veneers, acrylic, PU/polish finishes, hardware, accessories, glass, aluminium, and furniture-manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and understand interior drawings, elevations, BOQs, production details, and site measurements.
Strong understanding of modular kitchen, wardrobe, door, and furniture installation.
Good communication and coordination skills in Hindi and English.
Comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets, WhatsApp, project trackers, and reporting formats.
Strong ownership, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and willingness to work on factory and project sites.
Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Production, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Strong practical experience will also be considered.
