Role Description The Data Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvallur. This position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and updating organizational databases to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring database performance, handling data imports and exports, managing access permissions, and implementing backup and recovery procedures. The role involves collaborating with product, engineering, and business teams to support data-driven decisions, troubleshoot data-related issues, and document data standards and processes. The Data Administrator will also contribute to continuous improvement of data management practices and compliance with internal policies.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Data Administration and Database Administration to manage, maintain, and secure organizational data systems.
Proficiency in Data Management practices, including data integrity, backup, recovery, and data lifecycle processes.
Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
Effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and document data policies and procedures.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and basic query optimization.
Familiarity with data security standards, access control, and regulatory compliance relevant to data handling.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work on-site in Tiruvallur, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
