Role Description The Reel Video Editor internship role at Floor To Sky is a remote position focused on creating short-form video content optimized for social media platforms. Day-to-day tasks include editing raw footage into polished reels, selecting music and sound effects, applying transitions and effects, and adapting content to platform-specific formats and aspect ratios. The intern will collaborate with content creators and marketing stakeholders to interpret creative briefs, maintain visual consistency with brand guidelines, and deliver assets on schedule. Responsibilities also include basic color correction, simple motion graphics integration, and organizing project files for efficient workflows. This is an internship role designed to help develop professional editing skills while contributing to real projects in a remote, flexible environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Video Production and Video Editing for short-form, social media-oriented content.
Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to enhance visual quality and maintain consistent color styles.
Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for adding titles, lower thirds, overlays, and simple animated elements.
Familiarity with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic motion tools (e.g., After Effects) is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to follow creative direction while working independently in a remote setting.
Interest in social media trends, short-form video formats, and visual storytelling; prior portfolio or sample work is highly advantageous.
Relevant coursework, training, or self-taught experience in film, media, design, or related fields is a plus.
