Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tekla Modeler role based in Bangalore Urban. The Tekla Modeler will be responsible for creating accurate 3D structural models using Tekla Structures, including steel and concrete elements, connections, and assemblies. Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed fabrication drawings, general arrangement drawings, and reports, as well as updating models based on design revisions and coordination inputs from engineers and project managers. The role involves collaborating with structural designers, site teams, and other stakeholders to resolve modeling issues, ensure constructability, and maintain compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The Tekla Modeler will also perform regular quality checks on models and drawings, support quantity take-offs, and assist in optimizing workflows and project documentation.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for 3D modeling of steel and concrete structures, including detailing and connection modeling.
Experience with structural detailing, fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and basic understanding of industrial and commercial building systems.
Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings, codes, and specifications, and translate them into accurate Tekla models.
Good knowledge of construction practices, fabrication processes, and erection sequences for industrial and commercial projects.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to maintaining quality and consistency across project deliverables.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, designers, and site teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines and project milestones.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field; relevant certifications in Tekla or structural detailing are an advantage.
Prior experience as a Tekla Modeler or Structural Detailer in industrial or commercial construction projects is preferred.
