Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and database technologies, with a proven ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance applications.
The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, develop robust solutions, and contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of our applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based applications.
Develop robust and secure backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and efficient code.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases as required.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production and application issues.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
Contribute to system design, architecture discussions, and technical documentation.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
Hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+.
Strong experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
Good understanding of REST APIs, Microservices, and distributed systems.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate.
Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
Experience with Git and version control systems.
Familiarity with Maven or Gradle.
Understanding of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
Good debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
Good to Have
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with Kafka or other messaging systems.
Exposure to CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies.
Experience working with high-volume, distributed, or cloud-native applications.
Exposure to frontend technologies such as React or Angular is an added advantage.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
