CIS - Load Balancer

Job Description
Engineer will be responsible for configuration and management of the Load Balancers on daily basis.
Engineer will work with Application teams to build the required Load Balancing configuration as per defined standards.
Performs as a high-level, Technical SME (subject matter expert) for the Load Balancing infrastructure at American Express.
Has strong troubleshooting skills to resolve high-severity, business-impacting outages and incidents.
Has responsibility for the technical direction of the platform(s)/applications within the supported portfolio.
Expert level knowledge in networking protocols like TCP/IP, OSPF, and BGP is required.
Expert level experience with F5 LoadBalancing iRules, HTTP profiles, SSL configurations and TCP profiles.
Expert level knowledge in packet capture analysis.
Expert level experience with Load Balancing vendor products like F5, AVI etc.
Experience in Virtualization system administration like VMware (ESXi) and Cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure etc. is preferred.
Works as Load Balancing architecture consultant to ensure Infrastructure configuration aligns to business and IT strategy.
Partners with the American Express Technology Application/Hosting teams in determining the best practical solution following enterprise standards.
Ensures accurate asset information is recorded/documented for the platform/application supported.
