Sales Director

This role focuses on driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building long-term client partnerships, and delivering customized scientific publishing and medical communication solutions to leading pharmaceutical companies.
Responsibilities
Business Development: Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare organizations, medical associations, and related industries
Client Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and strengthen long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients
Sales Strategy & Execution: Generate leads, prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and drive revenue growth through successful deal closures
Key Account Management: Manage and grow strategic client accounts, identify opportunities for renewals, cross-selling, and upselling while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Business Planning & Reporting: Maintain sales forecasts, monitor pipeline performance, prepare account plans, and provide regular business updates to management
Market Research & Business Insights: Analyse industry trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify new growth opportunities
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with editorial, medical, design, and operations teams to deliver high-quality scientific communication and publishing solutions
Client Engagement: Conduct client meetings, deliver business presentations, and represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and other industry events
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Marketing etc 8–15 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical marketing, medical communications, healthcare publishing, healthcare services, or business development
Proven experience in client acquisition, business development, and key account management
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Ability to prepare business proposals, commercial quotations, presentations, and professional client communications
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and willing to travel for client meetings and industry events
