Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pattern Maker role based in Mumbai. The Pattern Maker will translate design concepts and technical specifications into accurate patterns for various garment styles, ensuring proper fit and construction. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and adjusting patterns, collaborating with designers and sample makers, conducting fittings, and making necessary pattern corrections. The role involves using both manual and computer-aided methods to create and modify patterns, preparing pattern sets for production, and coordinating with the cutting and sewing teams. The Pattern Maker will also support quality checks on samples and production runs to maintain consistency and standards.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Pattern Making and Pattern Design to convert designs into accurate, production-ready patterns.
Proficiency in Fitting and garment construction to evaluate sample fit and make precise pattern adjustments.
Hands-on experience in Sewing to understand construction methods and support sample development.
Ability to work with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for digital pattern drafting, grading, and modifications.
Relevant vocational training or diploma in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, or Garment Technology.
Attention to detail, strong numerical and measurement skills, and the ability to interpret technical specs.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with design, sampling, and production teams.
Previous experience in a garment manufacturing or fashion production environment is an advantage.
