Accountant

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Delhi, India. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. The role involves preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local tax regulations. The Accountant will support internal audits, maintain accurate financial records, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that help guide business decisions. The role also includes generating periodic financial reports for management and helping to improve financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
Strong foundations in accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
Proficiency in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and expense tracking.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and basic financial analysis to support business planning.
Knowledge of Indian taxation, GST, and regulatory compliance relevant to cosmetics or FMCG sectors.
Comfort with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to maintain organized financial records.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-finance teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA) are an advantage.
Prior experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role, preferably in consumer goods or skincare/beauty industries.
