Role Description The Human Resources Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Human Resources Manager will oversee end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations for retail and corporate teams. This role involves developing and implementing HR policies, maintaining compliance with labor laws, and supporting workforce planning and talent development. The Human Resources Manager will handle payroll inputs, attendance and leave administration, and HR documentation, while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture. The person in this role will work closely with leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals and support organizational growth.
Qualifications
Strong skills in recruitment, interviewing, and talent acquisition, with experience managing hiring for multiple locations or business units.
Proficiency in performance management, goal setting, and feedback processes, including handling employee evaluations and development plans.
Experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and maintaining an inclusive, respectful workplace environment.
Knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, statutory compliances, and HR documentation relevant to the Indian retail or FMCG sector.
Ability to manage HR operations, including attendance tracking, payroll inputs, leave management, and HR data reporting.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across retail and corporate teams.
Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; professional HR certifications are an advantage.
Prior experience as an HR Manager or senior HR generalist, preferably in retail, food, FMCG, or a multi-location business.
Comfort working on-site in Mumbai and using HRIS, MS Office tools, and digital communication platforms.
