Role Description The CA Article role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. The role involves assisting in statutory and tax audits, working on accounting and bookkeeping assignments, and supporting the preparation and review of financial statements and reports. Day-to-day responsibilities include working on direct tax computations, supporting tax filings, conducting basic research on accounting and tax matters, and helping ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The CA Article will collaborate with senior team members on client engagements, maintain working papers and documentation, and interact with clients under supervision to gather information and clarify queries. The position offers hands-on training aligned with chartered accountancy curriculum requirements and professional standards.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial reporting, with the ability to work with ledgers, trial balances, and financial statements.
Knowledge of direct taxation concepts and basic understanding of audit procedures, standards, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and familiarity with accounting or ERP software; ability to learn new tools quickly.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prepare clear working papers and reports.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret financial data and identify inconsistencies or issues.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Current enrollment as a CA Article/Article Assistant under ICAI guidelines, with completion of required academic prerequisites.
Demonstrated integrity, professional ethics, and a willingness to learn; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Prior internship or exposure to audit, taxation, or accounting work is an advantage but not mandatory.
