Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time remote role responsible for defining and executing the company’s overall technology vision and strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the technology roadmap, overseeing software and infrastructure architecture, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of all technology platforms. The CTO will guide and mentor engineering and IT teams, prioritize and manage projects, and collaborate with business leadership to align technology initiatives with organizational goals. This role involves evaluating new tools and technologies, establishing standards and best practices, and monitoring performance metrics to support efficient delivery and continuous improvement. The CTO will also participate in strategic planning, budgeting, vendor management, and risk management related to technology operations.
Qualifications
Strong Information Technology background with experience overseeing IT operations, systems architecture, and technology platforms.
Proven IT Strategy and Business Strategy skills, with the ability to align technology initiatives to overall company objectives and growth plans.
Demonstrated Project Management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, execution, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
Advanced Analytical Skills for data-driven decision-making, performance monitoring, and continuous optimization of technology solutions.
Experience leading engineering or IT teams in a senior leadership role, preferably as CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent.
Deep understanding of modern software development practices, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and integration of enterprise systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working in remote and distributed teams, with strong self-management and organizational skills.
Familiarity with budgeting, vendor selection, and contract management related to technology products and services.
