Paper Industry Data & Content Specialist

PPC Intelligence Hub is an industry intelligence platform developed by Pulp & Paper Chronicle for the global pulp, paper, packaging, tissue, and forestry industries. The platform is currently under development, and we are looking for a Paper Industry Data & Content Specialist to help build, organize, and maintain high-quality industry data and content.
Key Responsibilities
Research and add relevant pulp & paper industry news to the platform.
Identify and correctly link news to the relevant companies, mills, plants, and manufacturing sites.
Create and maintain company and facility profiles, including locations and ownership relationships.
Categorize and tag companies, facilities, news, products, and industry developments.
Identify and add new categories or data fields when required.
Research and verify information from reliable industry sources.
Track important developments such as new projects, mill expansions, acquisitions, closures, capacity changes, and investments.
Maintain accurate, consistent, and duplicate-free data across the platform.
Suggest improvements to the platform's industry data structure and classification.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of the pulp and paper industry and its terminology.
Understanding of paper mills, pulp mills, tissue, packaging, board, recycling, forestry, machinery, and related industries.
Excellent research and information-verification skills.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Good written English.
Comfortable working with web-based admin systems, databases, CMS platforms, and spreadsheets.
Preferred
1–3+ years of experience in the pulp & paper industry, industry research, market intelligence, publishing, or manufacturing data.
Knowledge of global paper companies and mill locations.
Experience with industry databases, business intelligence, or content management platforms.
Ideal Candidate: Someone who understands the paper industry well enough to read an industry news article and accurately identify the company, facility/mill, location, industry category, product/technology, and relevant relationships, then structure that information correctly in the PPC Intelligence Hub.
