Job Description: Brake & Suspension Designer (Minimum 7 Years Experience)
Position Overview
We are looking to hire an experienced Brake & Suspension Designer with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in designing drum brakes, hydraulic disc brakes, and suspension components, preferably within the 2-wheeler automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in casting, sheet metal, and plastic part design, including detailed 3D modelling and 2D drafting, and be capable of independently handling design release processes. Experience with Siemens NX and PLM systems is preferred.
The candidate should be a team player, highly collaborative, and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to deliver high-quality engineering output.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 7 years of experience in brake and suspension design, preferably in the 2-wheeler industry.
Proficiency in designing drum brakes, hydraulic disc brakes, and suspension components.
Strong expertise in casting, sheet metal, and plastic part design.
Hands-on experience in 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
Experience with Siemens NX CAD software (preferred).
Working knowledge of PLM systems for design release and documentation.
Good understanding of GD&T, engineering standards, and manufacturing processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Preferred Attributes
Experience in 2-wheeler OEM or Tier-1 supplier environment.
Experience in CAE Analysis tools hyper mesh.
Understanding of CAE inputs, durability requirements, and validation testing.
