Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma, in the role of Equipment Service Specialist, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks in support of the operation of the North America Repair Center. This position is based in the Bedford MA Repair Center and is not eligible for remote work.
This position will include both administrative and hands-on tasks. You can expect to be working at a desk and on your feet at various tasks. Over the course of the day, you will be opening boxes, moving carts, organizing storage of instruments and components, entering data into our database, responding to phone and e-mail requests, and working with our technicians and customers. This role will give you the opportunity to learn new skills on a regular basis.
Receive incoming customer materials that are sent to the Repair Center for service
Respond to requests from internal and external customers regarding:
Tools and demonstration equipment to be shipped to them
Documents from the Repair Center database
Status on in-process service
Assist in processing orders for new instruments using the existing Oracle, SAP and SFDC/ServiceMax applications
Use the existing software in place for management of calibration tools used in house and in the field (Cloud-based Salesforce.com CRM)
Receive supplies from our warehouse and external business partners
Manage supply cabinets as needed in the Repair Center, including service parts and office supplies, maintaining minimum quantities, placing orders, and following up to ensure the material needed by the RC is always available
General Admin Duties in support of the team
As your comfort in the role grows, additional tasks may be added depending on time and skills available, to include:
Calibration of specific tools and instruments
Creating reports in Salesforce to better manage our workload
Help design and generate PowerPoint slides for presentations, and for promoting achievements of the Repair Center
Administrative Support of the Quality delegate that works with the Repair Center as needed
Physical Attributes:
Moving and/or lifting up to 30 lbs.
Standing, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, sitting, and kneeling
Utilizing hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity
Processing requests requiring movement of shipping cases and boxes, bending and lifting
