Role Description : The Systems Software Engineer — C++/Rust, Windows & Backend role is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing low-level and backend systems that support Mystinex’s cybersecurity solutions. Day-to-day work includes developing high-performance software in C++ and Rust on Windows platforms, building backend services and APIs, and integrating security features into core system components. The role involves debugging complex issues, profiling and improving system performance, and collaborating with security analysts to translate threat models into resilient software architectures. The engineer will also participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure infrastructure for customer environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Windows endpoint services and client-side components using C++/Rust.
Design and develop backend services and APIs for endpoint telemetry ingestion, processing, storage, and communication with the MDR platform.
Develop multi-threaded and concurrent applications with focus on performance, reliability, and resource efficiency.
Work with Win32 APIs and Windows subsystems for process, thread, service, IPC, registry, filesystem, and system-level integration.
Design and implement HTTP, WebSocket, and secure communication protocols for endpoint-to-cloud/service communication.
Implement and integrate TLS-based secure communication, certificate validation, and secure connection handling.
Work with JSON/XML-based APIs and configuration formats.
Design robust error handling, retry, timeout, connection management, and recovery mechanisms. Build Windows installers and deployment packages using WiX Toolset.
Diagnose complex CPU, memory, thread, synchronization, networking, and endpoint performance issues.
Develop unit, integration, and system-level tests for endpoint components.
Participate in architecture/design reviews and contribute to technical decisions and engineering standards.
Collaborate with cloud, security, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.
Investigate and resolve production issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ensure software follows security, coding, performance, and reliability best practices.
Compansation
CTC: ₹3.6 LPA – ₹4.2 LPA, depending on experience and technical fit.
