The company manufactures and markets a diversified portfolio of sulphur-based chemicals, specialty chemicals, dyes and dye intermediates for domestic and international markets.
Our product portfolio includes Sulphuric Acid, Oleum, Chlorosulphonic Acid, Liquid Sulphur Dioxide (SO₂), Liquid Sulphur Trioxide (SO₃), Dimethyl Sulphate (DMS), dye intermediates and specialty dyestuffs, serving industries including agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, leather, paper and specialty chemicals.

We are looking for an ambitious individual who can help us use data, artificial intelligence and automation to improve plant productivity, reduce operating costs and make faster, better management decisions.
About the Role
Location: Corporate Office, Satellite, Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Reporting To: Senior Management / Plant Head
We are looking for an AI & Plant Operations Data Analyst who can convert the large amount of operational information generated every day in our plants into structured data, actionable intelligence and management decisions.
A significant amount of plant information currently comes through WhatsApp messages, shift reports, production sheets, maintenance reports, laboratory reports, utility records and other Excel/data sheets.
The core objective of this role is to bring all of this information together and answer:
What happened?
Why did it happen?
What is the financial/operational impact?
What action is required?
Who is responsible?
Has the action been completed?
This is not a conventional MIS or data-entry position.
We are looking for someone who can use AI, data analytics and technology to identify inefficiencies and improve the actual performance of a chemical manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities1. Convert WhatsApp & Plant Reports into Intelligence
Identify and consolidate operational information currently communicated through WhatsApp and other informal channels.
Convert unstructured messages into structured operational data.
Categorize information relating to production, maintenance, utilities, quality, breakdowns, manpower, energy and environmental performance.
Use AI/NLP tools to extract important information automatically.
Develop daily and weekly Plant Intelligence Reports.
Identify recurring problems, abnormal events and operational trends.
The objective is to move from "collecting reports" to "generating intelligence."
2. Improve Plant Energy Efficiency
Analyze plant data to identify opportunities to reduce:
Electricity consumption
Steam consumption
Fuel consumption
Energy consumption per MT of production
Compressed air and utility losses
Equipment running losses
Abnormal energy consumption
The candidate should be able to identify questions such as:
Why has energy consumption per MT increased?
Which equipment or process is responsible?
Where are we losing energy?
What corrective action can reduce the cost?
3. Improve Manufacturing Efficiency
Analyze production data to identify:
Production efficiency
Batch-wise performance
Production delays
Downtime
Process deviations
Recurring operational problems
Production losses
Raw-material consumption
Yield variations
The candidate will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Utilities, ETP and Plant Management teams.
4. Maintenance & Breakdown Intelligence
Create a structured system to track:
Equipment breakdowns
Downtime
Maintenance requests
Preventive maintenance
Corrective actions
Root-cause analysis
Spare-parts requirements
Repeated equipment failures
Pending maintenance activities
The system should clearly show:
Issue → Responsible Person → Target Date → Action → Status → Closure
Management should be able to immediately identify overdue and recurring problems.
5. Pollution & Environmental Data
Analyze operational and environmental data to identify opportunities to reduce:
Pollution load
SO₂/SO₃-related emissions
Acid mist
Effluent load
Waste generation
Chemical losses
Abnormal operating conditions
The objective is to use data to identify the operating conditions that contribute to higher pollution and develop preventive actions.
6. Manpower & Labour Productivity
Analyze manpower deployment against production and plant requirements.
Identify:
Idle manpower
Overtime
Shift-wise manpower utilization
Repetitive manual activities
Opportunities for automation
Labour productivity
Manpower requirements by activity/process
The objective is to improve manpower utilization and operational productivity.
Build a Digital Plant Monitoring Application
A major part of this role will be to help develop a web-based application for plant operations and issue management.
The application should eventually allow plant personnel to enter and monitor:
Daily production
Shift production
Raw-material consumption
Energy consumption
Utility consumption
Quality parameters
Breakdown information
Maintenance activities
ETP/environmental parameters
Manpower deployment
Corrective actions
The candidate may build the application directly using appropriate technologies and AI-assisted development tools, or work with external developers to implement the system.
Management Dashboard & AI Reporting
The ultimate objective is to create a management dashboard that can answer, at any time:
Plant Performance
What was produced?
What was the target?
What was the variance?
Energy
Energy consumption/MT?
Is it improving or deteriorating?
Where is the abnormal consumption?
Maintenance
What broke down?
How much production was lost?
Which problems are recurring?
What actions are overdue?
Environment
Are pollution parameters within expected levels?
What operational factors are affecting them?
Management Actions
What are today's critical issues?
Who is responsible?
What is overdue?
What requires management intervention?
Skills & Qualifications
Candidates with experience or knowledge in some or all of the following will be preferred:
Advanced Excel
SQL
Power BI / Tableau
Data cleaning and analysis
Dashboard development
Python
Artificial Intelligence / Generative AI
AI agents and automation
APIs and database integration
Web application development
Process automation
Data visualization
Business intelligence
Experience in chemical manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, process industries, manufacturing or industrial operations will be an advantage.
However, we are equally interested in candidates who may not have extensive manufacturing experience but demonstrate exceptional analytical ability, technology skills and the ability to understand real-world business problems.

We are not looking for someone who simply prepares reports and dashboards.
We are looking for someone who can look at plant data and ask:
Where are we losing money?Why is this happening?Can we predict it before it happens again?Can AI automate the monitoring and follow-up?What action should management take?
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with plant operations and senior management and build systems that have a measurable impact on the company's manufacturing operations.
