Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Casting Specialist Engineer / Foundry Expert based in Una. The role involves overseeing casting and foundry operations for various valve components, ensuring adherence to material specifications and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include monitoring melting, molding, and pouring processes; optimizing casting parameters; and coordinating with production teams to meet delivery schedules. The Casting Specialist Engineer / Foundry Expert will analyze defects, implement corrective actions, and work on continuous improvement of casting methods and tooling. The role also includes maintaining safety standards, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with quality assurance and design teams to support new product development.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to identify, analyze, and resolve casting and process-related issues efficiently.
Candidates should possess relevant Technical Support skills to assist production and maintenance teams in foundry operations and equipment use.
Practical experience in foundry processes such as pattern making, molding, core making, melting, and heat treatment, preferably with ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.
Knowledge of metallurgical principles, casting defects, and quality control standards applicable to industrial valve manufacturing.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and international standards related to valve components.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to safe working practices in a foundry environment.
Diploma or degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; relevant foundry certifications are an advantage.
Prior experience in a valve manufacturing or heavy engineering industry foundry is highly beneficial.
