Piping Supervisor

Role Description The Piping Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara, responsible for overseeing daily piping and pipeline construction activities at the project site. The role includes planning and allocating work to piping crews, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to design drawings, standards, and safety procedures. The Piping Supervisor will coordinate with engineers, contractors, and inspectors, resolve technical and operational issues, and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available as needed. Daily tasks involve supervising installation, alignment, and testing of pipes, conducting quality checks, maintaining documentation, and reporting on work status, delays, and resource requirements. The role also includes training and guiding team members, enforcing safety protocols, and supporting continuous improvement in site operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team coordination, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
Candidates should possess Piping and Pipe installation skills, with knowledge of fittings, supports, alignment, and testing procedures.
Candidates should possess Pipeline Construction skills, including understanding of layouts, isometric drawings, and construction methodologies.
Candidates should possess Quality Control skills with experience in inspections, compliance with standards, and documentation of quality issues.
Relevant experience as a Piping Supervisor or similar role in industrial or construction projects, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or manufacturing plants.
Good understanding of safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and risk assessments on construction sites.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and project specifications.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
Effective communication skills, ability to work with diverse teams, and readiness to work on-site in varying conditions.
