Role Description The Audit Assistant will support audit engagements by assisting in the examination of financial records, verifying supporting documents, and helping to prepare working papers and audit reports. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial statements for accuracy, testing internal controls, identifying variances or discrepancies, and documenting findings in line with firm and regulatory standards. The role also involves coordinating with senior audit staff, maintaining organized audit files, and contributing to timely completion of assignments. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mangaluru, requiring regular interaction with team members and clients at the office and client locations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in reviewing and understanding Financial Statements and Finance-related concepts.
Candidates should possess skills in conducting Financial Audits and preparing Audit Reports.
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify issues, and support audit conclusions.
Relevant academic background in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field (e.g., B.Com, CA aspirant) is preferred.
Good knowledge of accounting standards and basic tax and regulatory requirements is beneficial.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other audit or accounting software is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, time management, and the ability to work collaboratively with the audit team are expected.
