• Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, and other external
partners.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, timelines, and service levels with vendors.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure quality, timelines, and cost efficiency.
• Identify and develop alternative vendors to reduce dependency and operational risks.
3. Inventory Planning & Management
• Take ownership of inventory planning and stock management across warehouses and fulfilment
locations.
• Ensure optimal inventory levels and minimise stock-outs, overstocking, and dead inventory.
• Work closely with the Sales, Growth, and Finance teams to forecast demand.
• Develop inventory forecasting and replenishment processes.
• Monitor inventory movement and ensure accurate stock records across all systems.
4. Warehouse & Fulfilment Operations
• Oversee warehouse operations and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
• Ensure efficient processes for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching products.
• Improve warehouse productivity and turnaround time.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and minimise losses, damages, and discrepancies.
• Build scalable warehouse processes as order volumes increase.
• Manage warehouse teams and ensure strong operational discipline.
5. Logistics, Delivery & Returns
• Manage relationships with courier and logistics partners.
• Monitor delivery performance, turnaround times, shipping costs, RTOs, NDRs, and customer returns.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery timelines and reduce logistics costs.
• Build efficient processes for returns, replacements, and reverse logistics.
• Track key logistics metrics and take proactive action to address performance issues.
6. Cost Optimisation & Operational Efficiency
• Continuously identify opportunities to reduce operational costs without compromising quality or customer
experience.
• Monitor warehousing, logistics, procurement, packaging, and fulfilment costs.
• Improve operational efficiency through better processes, automation, and technology.
• Build dashboards and reports to track operational performance and key metrics.
7. Team Leadership & People Management
• Build, manage, and mentor the operations team.
• Define clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
• Create accountability and ownership across the operations function.
• Work closely with different teams to ensure smooth coordination and execution.
• Hire and build the operations team as the organisation grows.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with the Founders and Leadership Team on business planning and operational strategy.
• Partner with the Growth and Marketing teams to plan inventory and fulfilment requirements for
campaigns and promotions.
• Coordinate with the Finance team for budgeting, vendor payments, cost control, and inventory planning.
• Work with the Customer Experience team to resolve operational issues impacting customers.
Key Requirements
• 7–10 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or related functions.
• Strong experience working with a D2C, FMCG, Consumer, Wellness, Nutrition, Beauty, or
E-commerce brand.
• Experience managing end-to-end operations in a fast-growing organisation.
• Strong understanding of supply chain, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.
• Experience working with multiple vendors, manufacturers, warehouses, and logistics partners.
• Proven ability to build processes and systems from scratch and scale operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
