Role Description The Production and Quality Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This position oversees day-to-day production operations, ensuring output meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The role includes planning and scheduling production, monitoring line performance, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with procurement and logistics. The manager leads and develops production and quality teams, implements and maintains quality control procedures, conducts inspections and audits, and addresses non-conformities. The role also involves analyzing production data, optimizing processes, enforcing compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements, and collaborating with leadership on continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in food or manufacturing production management, including overseeing daily operations and meeting output targets.
Strong background in quality management, including implementation of quality control systems, audits, and corrective actions.
Knowledge of food safety standards, regulatory compliance, and best practices in hygiene and workplace safety.
Proven ability to lead teams, coach staff, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using production metrics and data to drive decisions.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced certifications in quality or food safety are an advantage.
Experience with manufacturing software, production planning tools, and standard office applications is beneficial.
