Role Overview: Chief VLM AI Architect (Vision–Language Model Architect)
We are seeking a world-class Vision–Language Model (VLM) Architect with 15+ years of expertise in AI/ML, Deep Learning, Multimodal Models, GenAI, Computer Vision, LLM-VLM Fusion Systems, and Enterprise-scale engineering. This role combines scientist + architect + hands-on engineering leadership, responsible for building the most advanced Travel VLM Engine integrating vision intelligence, multimodal search, and next-gen travel automation for global consumers and enterprises.
Key Responsibilities
AI & Multimodal Architecture
Architect, build, train, and optimize TravelFlap proprietary VLM (Vision–Language Model) integrating LLMs, LAMs, LCP, LCM, and multimodal intelligence.
Build multimodal engines capable of understanding images, documents, visas, tickets, invoices, hotel vouchers, maps, city visuals, destinations, landmarks, and OCR-based travel workflows.
Develop world-leading Image-to-Itinerary, Visual Search & Book, Visual Fare Prediction, Visual Fraud Detection, Dynamic Document Understanding, and AI-Powered Travel Document Validator.
Platform & Engineering Leadership
Develop AI systems connecting GDS, NDC, LCCs, hotels, DMC/TMC, OTA pipelines, and multimodal APIs across the travel ecosystem.
Build the world’s most advanced Multimodal Search–Book–Manage Engine with vision + language agents, neural pipelines, and autonomous travel agents.
Lead innovations in real-time travel analytics, dynamic packaging, price forecasting, computer-vision-driven personalization, and multimodal risk management.
Infrastructure & Compliance
Design secure architectures following IATA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO, OWASP, and global AI governance standards.
Build cloud-native, high-availability AI systems using AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, serverless computing, and multimodal GPU clusters.
Product Innovation
Lead cross-functional teams to build:
TravelFlap Multimodal Ticket Changer
Vision-Based Airline Service Cost Engine
Image Classification for Travel Documents
Destination Intelligence & Visual Route Planning
AI Travel Fraud Prevention
VLM-enabled Chat, Assistants, and Multi-Agent Orchestration
Engineering Add-ons
Mentor global software teams across .NET, Java, Python, PHP, MERN/MEAN, GoLang.
Architect scalable databases using MongoDB, MySQL, and vector DBs.
Implement CI/CD, MLOps, orchestration, observability, and AI governance.
Use Jira, Zoho, Monday.com for project and sprint management.
Support SEO-driven architecture in all product layers.
Required Skills / Expertise
15+ years in AI/ML, Deep Learning, Multimodal Systems, CV + NLP Fusion, LLM/VLM Engineering, and enterprise AI platforms.
Proven success in building transformer-based models, cross-attention systems, image encoders, diffusion models, OCR pipelines, and RAG multimodal systems.
Strong programming skills in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, LangChain, OpenCV, FastAPI, and high-performance engineering.
Expertise in vector search, embeddings, GPU acceleration, distributed training, and multi-cloud deployments.
Deep domain understanding of Travel Tech, OTA Systems, GDS/NDC, fares, PNRs, ticketing, BSP/ARC, and large-scale travel workflows.
Exceptional leadership in scaling AI engineering teams across global offices.
Qualifications
Master’s or Ph.D. in AI, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, Computer Vision, or related domains.
Cloud certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP preferred.
10+ years leading AI/ML and engineering teams.
Hands-on expertise in computer vision, multimodal modeling, LLM/VLM fusion architectures, and high-scale systems.
Strong communication, leadership, and innovation mindset, with the ability to drive large-scale transformation.
