We are seeking a hands-on Data Integration Engineer to design, build, and modernize scalable Credit Risk data platforms and integration pipelines. The role requires advanced Python and SQL engineering skills, strong experience with PySpark, Databricks, and Azure, and hands-on ownership across the full SDLC including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. The successful candidate will develop and optimize enterprise-scale data solutions, work closely with business and technology stakeholders, and contribute to the modernization of strategic Credit Risk platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models
Build large-scale data processing pipelines using PySpark in Databricks
Apply Delta Lake and medallion architecture patterns to create maintainable and scalable data products
Implement data governance, access controls, and cataloguing using Unity Catalog.
Develop and manage Databricks workflows and batch jobs, including automated data quality, validation, reconciliation, and testing frameworks.
Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-native data integration solutions using modern data engineering practices. Having a good understanding of Data warehouse concepts and working in SSIS is desirable.
Work within Azure ecosystem ADF, Azure SQL, Data Lake Gen2, etc. for data integration and orchestration
Implement and maintain job scheduling and orchestration frameworks
Manage code using GitHub/Git/GitLab and deploy CI/CD pipelines following best practices
Contribute across the full SDLC including solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production stabilization
Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability through continuous optimization
Provide limited L2/L3 support for incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Identify and reduce technical debt while improving platform resilience and maintainability
Required Skills:
Strong expertise in both advanced Python(including OOP, performance optimization, memory handling) and SQL (complex query optimization)
Hands-on experience with:
Databricks, PySpark
Azure (ADF, Azure SQL, Data Lake Gen2)
SQL Server
Solid understanding of ETL/ELT and data warehousing concepts
Experience building scalable, high-volume data pipelines in cloud environments
Experience with job schedulers (Autosys, Tidal, Control-M, etc.)
Experience with GitHub/Git, DevOps, CICD pipelines
Experience delivering applications through the full Software Development Lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, release, and production support).
Preferred:
Experience building Credit Risk applications and data platforms (wholesale credit risk, counterparty credit risk, risk data flows)
Exposure to SSIS or similar ETL tools
Worked in Financial Services domain

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of technology experience with at least 6 years in hands-on data engineering or data integration roles.
