What roles and responsibilities will be performed by the selected candidate?
Lead data migration activities from BMC Helix CMDB to ServiceNow CMDB.
Perform data mapping, normalization, and reconciliation across source and target systems.
Design and enforce CI class models, relationships, and dependency mappings aligned with ServiceNow CMDB best practices.
Execute data quality checks, de-duplication, and remediation strategies.
Ensure accurate population of configuration items (CIs), relationships, and attributes.
Configure and manage MID Servers to support on-prem and hybrid integrations.
Implement Import Sets and Transform Maps for data migration and ongoing integrations.
Design and implement integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Scripted REST APIs, and webhooks.
Work with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Jitterbit, or equivalent.
Implement and manage authentication mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, and token-based authentication.
Integrate ServiceNow with Active Directory, monitoring tools, identity systems, and remaining BMC Helix components as needed.
Ensure reliability, security, and performance of all integrations.
What is the expectation from the candidate?s current role/profile?
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Senior Developer to lead and execute the technical migration from BMC Helix to ServiceNow, with 5-7 years of experience in ServiceNow CMDB
Act as a technical authority for ServiceNow architecture and development standards.
Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, upgrade safety, and performance optimization.
Provide guidance and technical mentorship to developers and administrators.
Support testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities across environments.
Deep understanding of the ServiceNow data model, especially CMDB, Incident, Change, Request, and Asset tables.
Strong experience with Flow Designer, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and Scripted REST APIs.
Hands-on experience configuring MID Servers and managing integrations.
Proven ability to rebuild or modernize workflows from legacy ITSM platforms.
Expertise in data mapping, normalization, reconciliation, and relationship modeling.
Strong understanding of BMC Helix CMDB structure and how it differs from ServiceNow CMDB.
Experience handling large-scale data migrations with high data quality standards.
Solid understanding of ITSM and ITIL processes and their implementation in ServiceNow.
Experience with Service Catalog, Request Management, and Knowledge Management.
Ability to bridge business needs with technical execution.
Strong experience with REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integrations.
Knowledge of authentication and security best practices.
Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems and monitoring tools.
Nice to Have:
ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS ? ITSM, CIS ? CMDB, or Architect-level certifications).
Experience in large-scale platform migrations or transformations.
Exposure to Discovery, Service Mapping, or CSDM.
