About the Role
We are seeking a Golang Developer Intern with hands-on experience in backend development through prior internships, freelance work, or substantial personal projects.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Go (Golang), REST APIs, backend architecture, databases, and server-side development. This role is suited for candidates looking to strengthen their backend engineering skills in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Golang.
Build scalable, reliable, and high-performance server-side applications.
Work with SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize backend applications.
Collaborate with frontend developers and the engineering team to deliver product features.
Follow Git, code review, testing, documentation, and software development best practices.
Requirements
Mandatory: 1–2 prior internships or equivalent hands-on experience in Backend Development.
Strong proficiency in Go (Golang).
Good understanding of Goroutines, Channels, Interfaces, Structs, Error Handling, and Go Modules.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and backend architecture.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
Good understanding of SQL, database design, queries, and indexing.
Familiarity with Git and version control.
Understanding of authentication, authorization, JWT, and API security.
Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA).
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Go frameworks such as Gin, Echo, or Fiber.
Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
Understanding of Microservices architecture.
Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or message queues.
Strong GitHub projects or open-source contributions.
