Role Description The Senior Tax Accountant will work full time on-site in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, managing end-to-end tax accounting and compliance for a portfolio of clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring adherence to local and national tax regulations, and advising clients on tax planning strategies. The role involves analyzing financial statements, identifying tax risks and opportunities, and preparing documentation for audits and regulatory submissions. The Senior Tax Accountant will collaborate with internal teams and clients, maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, and help improve tax-related processes and controls. This position also includes mentoring junior staff and contributing to the firm’s technical resources and best practices.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Tax, Tax Compliance, and Tax Preparation, with the ability to manage complex tax matters and regulatory requirements.
Solid understanding of Accounting principles and standards, including experience with general ledger activities and reconciliations.
Proficiency in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting Financial Statements for tax and reporting purposes.
Relevant professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent, and several years of experience in tax accounting or public practice.
Advanced skills in Excel and tax/accounting software; ability to work with large data sets and perform detailed reconciliations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Effective communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly and build long-term relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
