About Maison Saah
Maison Saah is an emerging couture label based in Jammu. We are seeking an experienced Couture Fabric and Embellishment Merchandiser to support the sourcing and development of materials for our collections on a consultancy basis.
The consultant may be based anywhere in Delhi NCR or Mumbai but must be available for supplier visits and physical sourcing when required.
Key responsibilities
• Source couture-quality fabrics, including silks, organza, tulle, georgette, satin and specialist materials
• Source premium crystals, sequins, beads, threads, trims and embroidery materials
• Identify reliable mills, manufacturers, wholesalers and specialist suppliers
• Coordinate custom fabric, trim and embellishment development
• Manage custom dyeing, lab dips and colour matching across fabrics, threads, trims and embellishments
• Coordinate digital, screen, block and specialist printing, including strike-offs and sample lengths
• Negotiate prices, minimum order quantities and lead times
• Inspect and verify fabric quality, colour accuracy, print quality, finish and consistency
• Arrange swatches, samples and material submissions for approval
• Coordinate material procurement with our design and production team in Jammu
Candidate requirements
• Relevant experience in luxury, couture, occasionwear or designer fashion
• Strong existing supplier network in Delhi NCR, Mumbai or other Indian sourcing hubs
• Excellent knowledge of premium fabrics, couture embellishments, dyeing and printing
• Experience coordinating lab dips, strike-offs, custom developments and production approvals
• Ability to source unusual and experimental materials beyond standard market options
• Strong negotiation, supplier-management and communication skills
This is a specialist fabric and embellishment sourcing role, not a general garment-production merchandising position.
