Electrical Design Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Design Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Electrical Design Engineer will develop detailed electrical designs and schematics for power distribution and protection systems, including equipment selection, load calculations, and cable sizing. Responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings and documentation, coordinating with project teams, vendors, and clients, and supporting power system studies and design reviews. The role involves assisting with testing and commissioning activities, ensuring designs meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards, and providing technical support during installation and maintenance. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of design practices, tools, and templates.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Design and Design Engineering, with experience creating detailed drawings, layouts, and specifications.
Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, including power system fundamentals and applied engineering principles.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Power transmission and Distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, protection schemes, control and automation panels.
Relevant skills in power system protection, testing and commissioning, and familiarity with industry standards (IEC, IEEE or equivalent) are beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma(with experience) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is preferred.
Ability to use CAD and electrical design software, interpret single-line diagrams, and perform basic calculations and simulations is advantageous.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in project teams and on-site environments.
Prior experience in power system consultancy, industrial projects, or utility environments will be considered a plus.
