Role Description The Quality Control Inspector Welding Piping Structure is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore. This role is responsible for inspecting welded joints, piping installations, and structural components to ensure compliance with applicable codes, specifications, and internal quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing visual and dimensional inspections, reviewing welding procedures and material certificates, documenting inspection results, and issuing non-conformance reports when needed. The inspector collaborates closely with welding teams, site engineers, and project managers to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence. The role also involves maintaining inspection records, supporting audits, and promoting safe work practices and continuous improvement in quality processes.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Quality Control and Inspection, particularly for welding, piping, and structural work.
Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Management, including documentation, reporting, and compliance with standards.
Effective Communication skills for coordinating with supervisors, welders, and project stakeholders, and for clear reporting of findings.
Knowledge of relevant welding, piping, and structural codes and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO or equivalent).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, WPS/PQR, and technical specifications.
Prior experience in industrial construction, fabrication, or similar environments is highly beneficial.
Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or related engineering field preferred; recognized certifications in welding inspection or NDT are an advantage.
Demonstrated attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
