Role Description The Assistant Manager role at Tata Electronics is a full-time, on-site position based in Madurai. The individual in this role will support daily operational management, including overseeing production or functional workflows, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and monitoring performance against targets. Responsibilities include assisting in planning and resource allocation, tracking key metrics, preparing reports for leadership, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. The Assistant Manager will help ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards, facilitate problem-solving on operational issues, and support team members through clear communication and guidance. This role also requires collaborating with senior managers on strategic initiatives and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications
Operational and managerial capabilities, including experience in supervising teams, coordinating daily activities, and managing timelines and resources.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify process gaps, and implement improvements in manufacturing or related environments.
Communication and collaboration skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Organizational and planning abilities, such as managing multiple tasks, prioritizing work, and maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
Technical awareness of electronics manufacturing or semiconductor processes, or a willingness to quickly learn industry-specific tools and standards.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, management, or a related field; advanced certifications in operations or quality (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) are an advantage.
Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced industrial setting, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, inclusion, and teamwork aligned with Tata Group values.
