JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Head of MIS & Data Analytics
Department: Group Business Excellence & Digital (GBED)
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Experience: 15–18 Years
1. Job Purpose
The Head of MIS & Data Analytics will be responsible for establishing and driving the Group’s data, analytics, MIS and business intelligence function. The role will lead the development of a robust data-driven decision-making ecosystem by ensuring reliable data, real-time reporting, advanced analytics and actionable business insights across the Group.
The position will work closely with senior management, business verticals and functional heads to translate business requirements into meaningful dashboards, analytics solutions, predictive insights and performance-monitoring frameworks.
2. Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the Group-wide Data & Analytics Strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Establish and implement data governance, data quality, security and standardization frameworks across the organization.
• Develop a centralized and scalable MIS, BI and analytics architecture.
• Design, implement and maintain real-time management dashboards and KPI reporting systems using platforms such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Establish standardized definitions for business KPIs, metrics and management reports across Group companies.
• Provide predictive and prescriptive analytics to support business planning, project execution, financial performance, operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for automation of recurring MIS and reporting processes.
• Integrate data from ERP, project management, finance, HR, procurement, operations and other business systems.
• Build data models and analytical frameworks to identify trends, risks, opportunities and performance gaps.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, Machine Learning and advanced analytics.
• Build, mentor and develop a high-performing MIS, BI and Data Analytics team.
3. Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Group Data & Analytics Strategy – Define and successfully execute a comprehensive Group-wide data and analytics roadmap.
Data Governance & Quality – Establish strong governance standards, ownership mechanisms and data-quality controls.
Real-Time MIS & Dashboards – Develop reliable, interactive and real-time dashboards for management decision-making.
Advanced Analytics – Deliver predictive and prescriptive insights to improve business performance and identify risks/opportunities.
Team Leadership & Capability Building – Build, lead and develop a strong analytics and MIS function.
Reporting Automation – Reduce manual reporting through automation, integration and standardized processes.
Stakeholder Management – Ensure effective adoption of analytics solutions across Group companies and functions.
4. Educational Qualifications Mandatory:
• MBA / M.Tech in Engeering, Information Technology or related discipline.
Preferred:
•MBA with specialization in Analytics / Business Intelligence / Technology Management.
•Relevant certifications such as CBIP, AWS Data Analytics, Microsoft Azure Data Analytics or equivalent.
5. Experience
• 18–20 years of overall experience in Construction, Manufacturing, Data, MIS, Business Intelligence, Analytics or related technology functions.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience leading MIS & Analytics.
• Experience working with senior leadership and multiple business functions.
• Experience in data-driven transformation, dashboard development, analytics automation and data governance.
