Role Description The Admission Counsellor role at Masters' Union is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The individual in this role will guide prospective learners through the admissions journey, including responding to inquiries, conducting counselling sessions, explaining programs and curricula, and clarifying eligibility and application requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing leads, following up with applicants via phone, email, and in-person meetings, and supporting candidates with application form completion, documentation, and interview scheduling. The Admission Counsellor will collaborate with academic and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging, attend events and information sessions, and provide feedback on applicant trends and outreach effectiveness. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in admission systems, meeting enrolment targets, and offering a positive, inclusive experience to all prospective learners.
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to conduct clear, empathetic counselling conversations across phone, email, and in-person channels.
Customer service and relationship management capabilities, with experience in handling queries, managing expectations, and building trust with prospective learners and families.
Organizational and administrative skills, including proficiency with CRM or admission management tools, accurate data entry, documentation handling, and time management.
Sales and outreach skills, such as lead management, follow-up, negotiation, and comfort working with enrolment or conversion targets in an education or similar setting.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess applicant profiles, provide tailored guidance, and share insights on admission trends with internal stakeholders.
Collaborative working style, with the ability to coordinate effectively with academic, marketing, and operations teams to deliver a seamless admissions experience.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; prior experience in admissions, counselling, education consulting, or student services is preferred.
Comfort with technology tools and online communication platforms; familiarity with business or tech education domains is an added advantage.
