Company Description Infinity Quality Services (IQS) is a leading India-based provider of Inspection and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) services, supporting major industrial sectors. IQS delivers comprehensive inspection, NDE, and training solutions tailored to client needs, either at customer premises or in dedicated classrooms. All inspections and training are conducted by technicians and instructors certified to SNT-TC-1A requirements by the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT). The company’s expertise includes ultrasonic flaw detection, thickness gauging, magnetic particle inspection, penetrant testing, dimensional and hardness testing, visual inspections, and evaluations of static and rotary equipment. IQS also specializes in casting, forging, welding, and component inspections, including automobile spares, plates, pipes, marine engine spares, and gear inspection.
Role Description This full-time, on-site Graduate Mechanical Engineer role is based in Panihati and supports inspection, NDE, and quality assurance activities across a range of industrial applications. The role involves assisting senior engineers and technicians in planning and executing mechanical and NDE inspections, interpreting test results, and preparing technical reports. The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will contribute to equipment and component evaluations, support machine and system design reviews, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with relevant standards. Daily responsibilities include using CAD tools for mechanical layouts, participating in research and development initiatives, and providing input to improve inspection processes and methodologies. The position requires active collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders to meet project timelines and maintain high safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong foundational skills in Mechanical Engineering, with an understanding of industrial equipment, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Additional beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, familiarity with NDE techniques and standards (e.g., ASNT, SNT-TC-1A), and basic knowledge of quality assurance procedures.
Relevant skills such as analytical thinking, attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work safely in industrial environments are highly valued.
Willingness to learn, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and adapt to on-site client requirements is essential.
